The pastor is responsible for the administration of all goods belonging to the parish (Canon 1282). In each parish, there is to be a Parish Finance Council, (a consultative group distinct from the Parish Pastoral Council, to assist the pastor with these responsibilities) (Canons 532, 537, and 1280). The Finance Council does not oversee the administration of the parish goods, but assists the pastor in his responsibilities.
